(Skunk Kitty is also broken, and is going to the vet tomorrow)
It’s a million degrees in Denver and I finally caved and went to buy a window a/c unit. Tweaked my back getting it out of the car and now I can’t get it upstairs to install it. At least I have a good excuse for doing absolutely nothing this weekend, right?

Aww. She’ll be alright, just needs that ear drained. She's been about as cranky as I am though.

Oh, I'm quite familiar with it. I've broken it twice but I think muscle pain is much worse. Somewhere around here I have some pills that should help...

Well, it's still broken because I'm broken. But it'll be better soon, I promise!

I’ve seen this more than a few times - someone without training tries to put a window unit A/C in and drops it out the window.
The LR unit in our apartment will probably die this year, and I’ll buy a nice Panasonic to replace it. And I’ll pay Oscar, one of the maintenance guys, to put it in. It’s better than 600 bucks falling 9 stories.
Hire a professional.

Apparently this is how they weed out the non-natives.
At least I know better than to try ATVing - thanks, Tony Stewart!

Thanks! I figured I owed everyone an explanation for commenting on EVERYTHING now that I’m temporarily stuck reading the internet for entertainment.

yeah, fun and exciting, when everybody elses attitude is.......
“what do you mean that you want help with that? its only 300 pounds ..... ...hand truck?? no,no,no those cost too much to equip to EVERY delivery truck, just heft it onto your shoulder and carry it to the spot.”
company recommended carrying technique for large and bulky/heavy items shown pictured here...

yeah, ive gotten to see this stuff first hand, and all i can tell you is that its a whole lot easier to look a little “weak” than it is to be laid up waiting on your back to try and catch up after you have have tweaked it......
strong backs, weak minds.
seen a lot of folks go over the years......... even you might GET to be the “old guy”, at [the redacted delivery company you work for] by just not getting hurt.
the important thing is to not let yourself get “used up”.... its a big world outside of work.

Indeed. The goal is to make the rally co-driving the primary source of income over the next few years and ultimately be able to move away from delivering

that would be awesome, if you could manage to make the co-driving work out.... thats a tough market from what i understand.

Though for sure. It takes a ton of time and commitment, and the ability to market yourself very well.
